Solid Oak Wardrobe

 

Clients from Burwash East Sussex commissioned a fitted wardrobe in solid oak to fit in an alcove. As with many cottages the only way into the room is in flat pack form.

Prefinished components were assembled and fitted into place, with the fillets scribed to the walls to give a neat finish.

The dovetailed drawers were fitted on soft close runners for a luxurious feel, and mirror with safety backing mounted on the inside of the door.

Armoire Sunday, Jan 2 2011

Mr and Mrs M. previous clients from Biddenden wanted a free standing wardrobe in a size that  they were unable to find.

The armoire was 2030mm high x 1100mm wide and internal depth 560mm.the piece was constructed from Tulipwood and moisture resistant board and spray painted to their choice of colour. The 8″ (203mm) drawer is full width and set on soft close runners.

The unit comes in two sections to aid painting and delivery.

If there is a piece of furniture that you just cannot find in the right size do get in touch.

Because I have deregistered from charging VAT,the added bonus is a custom made piece with NO VAT to pay!

White Spray Painted Wardrobe Floor to Ceiling Sunday, Jan 2 2011

White painted fully fitted wardrobe

Recommended clients in Folkstone required a large wardrobe for their amply proportioned bedroom. Approx. 108″ (2.76 m) high x 114″ (2.9m) wide x 24″ (610mm)deep, interior depth 22″ (560mm).

The versatile interior allows shelving to be placed where required.

The wardrobe was designed with thought to the character of the property, with similar details on door mouldings etc. The doors have hardwood mortice and tenon jointed frames with flat panels and mitred mouldings.

The unit was sited directly onto the floor boards and carpet has been relaid around the base. The wardrobe has been  fully fitted around all walls and skirtings and scribed to the ceiling.

Natural Oak Tailor Made Wardrobe Friday, Sep 24 2010

Interior and door finish

This piece of fitted  furniture in a natural oak finish was made for clients with very little  tollerance in the available space. The clothes and accessories required a set amount of room with very little to spare. Features include imitation top doors with extending knobs for temporary hanging of suits, tie and belt racks on the inside of the doors and slatted shoe racks.

Colour matched oak four doors for existing wardrobes Thursday, Sep 16 2010

These doors were comissioned to fit in front of an existing wardrobe when the bathroom / dressing room was revamped. The  frame was scribed and fitted to the uneven surfaces on all four sides thus giving something square for the doors to hang on. The doors have solid oak frames with matched veneered panels in the middle, the hinges being supplied with soft close mechanisms.

Maple and walnut bedroom set with unique hand made knobs

Custom made storage system for home office and bedroom

This custom made storage system  was created for a home office and bedroom for clients in Goudhurst, Kent. Mr and Mrs P. already knew what was required and supplied drawings accordingly!

Nine individual pieces in maple and american black walnut veneer together with inlaid cross band brought seamlessly together to form a study area and bedroom. The study houses the computer with printer above, storage cupboards and drawers.The bedroom includes a fully fitted wardrobe with three drawer chest and small bookcase. All the knobs were hand made in maple with maple and black walnut veneered fronts.

Wardrobes to Fit Round a Chimney Breast Saturday, Aug 21 2010

This painted white wardrobe system with glazed wood doors was made for a client in Westfield, East Sussex.

Two separate wardrobes sit either side of a chimney breast with a shelf to join them.
