Clients in Battle, East Sussex required a cupboard unit for a new basin in the cloakroom. Natural cherry was chosen as it complimented the colour of the hall woodwork, detailing for the cabinet reflected the room door. The worktop and shelves were made and the pieces were polished with polyurethane 10% sheen. The sink was plumbed and the new pieces were fitted together with tile splash back.

Mrs C from Sevenoaks had a dining suite including a TV cabinet in a dark elm finish. The unit had been put to one side and wasn’t being used. As with many pieces of furniture, styles can change or indeed electrical equipment can and will therefore, no longer fit. So rather than discarding perfectly serviceable pieces, why not recycle?

As you know its going to match your existing furniture it may well be worth considering !

Clients from Sevenoaks had a huge wall with a window in the middle, which lent itself beautifully for a series of fully adjustable, fully fitted book shelves and

perfectly sited in between the two, a window seat with storage under. The Georgian architecture of the property was picked up in the mouldings and turned roundel details at the top of the units.The base set of units were 450mm (18″) deep and the top shelf units were set back to 300mm (12″).

This initial piece of furniture was commissioned back in 2005, recently we were called back for some more book shelving and these were the resulting pieces!

Mr and Mrs M. previous clients from Biddenden wanted a free standing wardrobe in a size that  they were unable to find.

The armoire was 2030mm high x 1100mm wide and internal depth 560mm.the piece was constructed from Tulipwood and moisture resistant board and spray painted to their choice of colour. The 8″ (203mm) drawer is full width and set on soft close runners.

The unit comes in two sections to aid painting and delivery.

If there is a piece of furniture that you just cannot find in the right size do get in touch.

Because I have deregistered from charging VAT,the added bonus is a custom made piece with NO VAT to pay!

Our clients from Biddenden, Kent required a pair of painted sideboards that would sit comfortably in their Georgian dining room. The detailing was sympathetic to the architectural mouldings around the fireplace. The two cabinets were levelled, scribed and secured to the walls. The colour was chosen to match the room woodwork.

Recommended clients in Folkstone required a large wardrobe for their amply proportioned bedroom. Approx. 108″ (2.76 m) high x 114″ (2.9m) wide x 24″ (610mm)deep, interior depth 22″ (560mm).

The versatile interior allows shelving to be placed where required.

The wardrobe was designed with thought to the character of the property, with similar details on door mouldings etc. The doors have hardwood mortice and tenon jointed frames with flat panels and mitred mouldings.

The unit was sited directly onto the floor boards and carpet has been relaid around the base. The wardrobe has been  fully fitted around all walls and skirtings and scribed to the ceiling.

Clients from Herstmonceux, East Sussex required plenty of storage for books, computer, paperwork and craft supplies. Their room lent itself to a full wall of units,  as R and M had a very good idea of how they wanted it to look the design was arrived at fairly easily. The approximate overall size is 2.5m high (8′ 4″) X 3m wide (10′). The choice of finish is Light Oak.

The doors are constructed from European oak, the frames mortice and tenon jointed with central fielded panel and hung on Blum style hinges The lower section incorporates the knee hole desk in the centre with filing drawer inside the left hand pair of doors and shelf over. The cupboard to the right houses the computer and printer. The big concern was the excess heat and access for wiring, this was overcome with a removeable fielded panel with a discrete air gap at the top to the rear of the kneehole.  The end cupboards on both sides are storage with adjustable shelves. The book cases above have solid oak shelves, fully adjustable and suspended on magic wires.

The furniture is fully fitted around the skirting boards and scribed to walls and ceiling.

The other piece made was a display case for rosettes approx. 900mm high (35″) X 1500mm (5′) wide in Sapele with toughened glass front.

Mr and Mrs B. in Iden Green required a hall seat with a shoe storage cupboard under, to fit in the small space behind the front door. The unit is constructed from Tulipwood and moisture resistant board and spray painted in cream. The flap is hung on brass butt hinges and soft opening stays with the shoe rack being adjustable on magic wires.

This piece of furniture was constructed from Cherry and veneered board to compliment pieces already furnishing this clients home.

The cabinet was set up for foolscap suspended files on soft close runners, with stops preventing more than one drawer opening at a time and causing the unit to tip.
